FAQ
What is microblading?
Microblading is a cosmetic tattooing procedure that fills in thin eyebrow areas to make them look fuller. Unlike a traditional tattoo, which is permanent, the coloring from microblading may last for up to 2 years. This is because microblading uses different tools and a smaller amount of pigment.
How is microblading done?
An esthetician uses a hand-held microblade tool to create hair-like strokes on your skin, mimicking the natural look of eyebrow hair. Pigment is applied just under the skin.
How long does it last?
Unlike a traditional tattoo, which is permanent, the coloring from microblading may last for up to 2 years. Your own skin type and skincare routine will impact how long your eyebrow pigment lasts.
What is the procedure like?
The initial procedure takes 2-3 hours. Your eyebrows will appear darker immediately after the initial treatment. A touch up is included within a month of the initial service since the color will fade after a few weeks.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
How long does it take to heal?
There’s no downtime beyond minor redness or swelling. In the first 7 days, you’ll need to avoid getting them wet, working out or wearing brow makeup. It takes about 30 days to completely heal, in which time you may experience mild scabbing.
What about after care?
Stay out of the sun and water while your microblading heals. Avoid or limit exfoliation creams, acid-based serums and sun exposure; they may cause your color to fade.
Does microblading work on all skin tones and skin types?
Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones and colors. Microblading is not recommended for those with very oily skin or large pores. We do not provide microblading for people: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you’re taking skin medications like accutaine and steroids.
You must be 18 years old to receive our microblading services. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
