Say goodbye to mascara, eyelash curlers and panda eyes. Eyelash extensions are a simple, natural-looking enhancement to your own eyelashes that give your eyes more definition and volume. Individual synthetic hairs are added one-by-one to every single one of your eyelashes. This creates a more full and voluminous set of lashes. We suggest allowing 120-150 minutes for your treatment.

Treating yourself to eyelash extensions means you no longer have to worry about smudged or smeared mascara. They are waterproof and they don’t lose their curl or shape. They stay in place after showering, swimming or after washing your face. No longer will you spend time in front of the mirror darkening your lashes with mascara–just get up and go!

Eyelashes naturally have a six to eight week cycle. Lashes are grown, shed and naturally replaced during this time period. Since eyelash extensions are attached to your very own eyelashes, this means they will naturally be shed as well. We suggest maintaining your lashes every two to three weeks to keep lashes full and looking their best.

Washing your face with a gentle cleanser is suggested. We also suggest brushing them with a clean mascara wand to keep them looking neat. After your treatment, we will send you home with an aftercare card so you know exactly what does (and doesn’t) need to be done. As mentioned above, we suggest refilling your lashes for optimal volume every two to three weeks.

Plan to be here for about 2 hours.  You have over 100 lashes on each eye and we’ll want to place a lash on every viable lash.  Make sure all your eye makeup is removed especially mascara.  Do not use any oily products to remove your makeup. We need clean dry lashes to create a strong bond with the lash extensions. You’ll need to keep your lashes dry for 24 hours after your application of lashes whether you are getting a full set or a fill so you might want to shower before coming in so you can keep them dry for the next day. Come in ready for a relaxing nap!

You’ll want to wait for 24-48 hours before getting your extensions wet, going into a sauna, steam room, hot tub, using a tanning bed or spray tan. If your lashes are frequently exposed to steam, your lashes might not last as long.  Do not twist or pull at your eyelash extensions. Don’t use mascara because mascara shortens the life of your extensions and can attract bacteria. If you must use mascara use one that is oil free and never use waterproof mascara. Try not to sleep on your eyelashes or get a silk pillowcase which will help.  Gently brush through your eyelashes daily and be sure to keep them clean using an oil free lash cleanser. Do not use an eyelash curler on your lashes.

Yes!  We love new clients but we do want to make sure that we are filling lashes in a healthy manner. Lashes that were applied using too much adhesive and are stuck together are a challenge to fill. Lashes that are too heavy and long for your natural lashes to hold can cause stress and breakage to your natural lashes so we want to be very careful not to compromise that. A stylist may recommend removal of the lashes and start over with a new set if necessary.

If you have something special coming up such as a wedding or a vacation we advise that you have your full set done at least a week or more beforehand.  Allergic reactions to eyelash extension products is rare but we’d feel better if you didn’t take a chance before a special event.  A good idea is to schedule a complimentary consultation with us.  We can talk with you about the process and if you have any concerns about a reaction we can place a couple small lashes on each eye as a test just to make sure.

DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATERPROOF mascara. Waterproof mascara or any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and shorten the life of your eyelash extensions causing them to fall off sooner. Care also needs to be taken in washing off the mascara and only use a water based eye makeup remover.  Keep in mind that if you use mascara when you come in for fills your lash stylists may need to spend time cleaning the mascara off your lashes in order to fill them and again, we want to have clean lashes to get application of new lashes that will stay.

Yes!  Just wait 24-48 hours after a fill or new lash set before you use any lash growth product.  Your lash stylist can advise you of specific lash growth products that are compatible with your eyelash extensions.

It’s very important that you do not get your lashes wet for 24-48 hours after a fill or your first lash application.  After that you can do whatever you would do with your natural lashes.  Always be careful not to rub your eyes and keep any oily products away from your lashes as this will loosen the adhesive bond of the lashes.  And yes, you can swim (goggles are a good idea for prolonged and frequent swims) and shower.
